Hey everyone its rashad and this is Wear Many Hats presented by Dahsar where we talk about your main gig then we talk about your side hustle.

Sean Ben-Zvi is a barista but not any barista she is known for her swans, she goes by Seans Swans. She has coined herself as a creative coffee director, cafe consultant, and a freelance barista, so she’s basically under the whole coffee umbrella. I met Sean at her place of work in Boerum Hill as she is the head barista at this amazing venue and restaurant called Public Records. Public Records is one of my favorite places to go to for coffee, a drink, food, and all of the DJ events that were held there.

I wanted to stop by Public Records to pick up their latest issue of Record Magazine featuring Louise Chen, one of my favorite DJs and crushes since she is featured on the cover. Then I met Sean and saw the Swanas she did with every cup and when Public Records did a feature on her I had to have her on.

Me being in the coffee world all my life because I love coffee, working as a barista, meeting all these crazy ass people, getting connected with jobs, and meeting close friends. The coffee world has always been by my side.

Sean has a wonderful personality and I can tell that she has a smile behind her mask. Welcome 2x Swan Barista world wide champion

Please welcome Sean.

How you got into coffee?

I got into coffee by my mom setting me up at this coffee shop in the Philly airport called Jazz & Java.

How was your first entrance into coffee?

Have you had any crazy stories?

My crazy stories stem from working at a coffee shop up in the Upper East Side. All the customers were absolute horse shit.

Have you met any celebrities?

Have you got any gigs from working in coffee?

I’ve gotten a lot of my favorite gigs from working in design to creative production out of coffee

How did you link up with Public Records?

You’re in the best atmosphere and basically all of Brooklyn comes there now for all the good times. Their events at night are surely to bring out any Brooklyn nite that appreciates good music especially because their sound system is put together by the great Devon Turnbell.

They have an espresso network, they carefully curate Public Records to look absolutely stunning with the photography and design.

They care about social justice, they hosted my friends in the Wide Awakes part of For Freedoms to share other peoples voices and to get out the vote.

You’re in great hands basically Sean!

What do you like about working at Public Records?

I see you’re into photography, acting, I see you also play the piano and sing.

What makes you like to do all those things

How we end the podcast is that if you were to get a chest tattoo quote in olde english what would your phrase be?

Thank you guys for being on the podcast
