Hey everyone it’s Rashad and this is Wear Many Hats presented by Dahsar where we talk about your main gig then we talk about your side hustle.

Jerome Peel is the designer and founder of the workwear company Peels Painting.

Jerome plays drums in the band Gnarcissists. Jerome Chrome is a DJ as well.

Jerome is related to Evel Knievel and is part of the Citi-Bike Bois where they do sick stunts from riding in Pop Eyes, 7 11, bunny hopping off of loading trucks, and ramps on these heavy ass bikes.

Jerome is fucking hilarious.

I met Jerome at the Canal Street Market while working at Office Coffee and it was always a pleasure to see him every morning. Jerome has an office space and design studio in the building where he prints, designs, photographs, does it all with a sick crew for everything Peels.

Peels has been featured in Vogue, Vice, The New York Times and more. The workwear company has been featured on shows such as Euphoria, tons of skaters, models sport the brand, stoked to see his collaborations with Vans and Baker.

Peels is a painting company, they just sell clothes on the side.

Please welcome Jerome Peel.

What’s good family? How you been?

You just got back from Florida right? Is that where you’re from?

No citibikes down there right? But you were all about motocrossing and dirt biking.

I saw that Brian Anderson got back from Florida too. So I guess every skater just migrated down there during the panini.

Citibike Boyz

I love how Citibike Boyz get all these sponsorships or modeling gigs, it’s fucking hilarious. So far Carhartt WIP has featured you now Valentino. Hilarious.

You got model Keisuke Asano rocking a Valentino hoodie and you’re decked out in Valentino and then the other homie Joshua Michael Paulin filming. It’s a homie affair but the meeting of the minds because all y’all are hilarious.

I’m definitely posting the Fox News clip. Too good. Where they interview you.

DJ

Before the panini you were a DJ, you DJ’ed at the beloved and now RIP to China Chalet. Those parties were nuts. You DJ’ed with Dece. Where else did you DJ?

Obviously you miss it, the China Chalet boat parties.

Peels

What’s the back story on Peels? Congrats again on all the Peels successes it’s been great to be at your pop up shop in 2019 in Soho.

Every model I know and see wears Peels, everyone wants to collborate with Peels, rip-off Peels.

Your latest collaboration is with Lucien Smith’s Serving The People. All profits from that collab went to provide educational and creative programming worldwide as well as to support their artists and musicians.

But you haven’t stopped from doing all things good. Last year, you created a workshirt to auction off to support Black Lives Matter, Peels partnered up with Send Chinatown Love to help save Asian owned businesses and created China Chalet tees.

I love that in your post to create the red when you were printing the China Chalet benefit tees , you described how long it took to get that right amount of red ink to get that shade of red that you see all over Chinatown so you really do pay attention to detail.

Skaters such as Dustin Dollin, Jake Phelps RIP, Ishod, Christian Henry, Alex Wilder, Andrew Reynolds, is there anyone you want to sport Peels?

Any collaborations you guys would want to work with?

Hats OFF

Hats off to you on all these things that you do, for some Wear Many Hats Dahsar solutions have you ever thought about doing a Peels, CitiBike Boyz Collab?

Ending

If you were to get a chest tattoo quote in olde english what would it be?

Plug your socials where can people find you?

Till next time this is Wear Many Hats presented by Dahsar and I’m Rashad Peace!
