Hey everyone it’s Rashad and this is Wear Many Hats presented by Dahsar where we talk about your main gig then we talk about your side hustle.

Justin Buschardt is an illustrator, musician, photographer, videographer and my favorite bartender of all time, well in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

We met when I used to work at the greatest coffeeshop / plant shop in Brooklyn called Homecoming. We used to shoot the shit, talk about bands, punk bands, Thursday, the band Thursday, on a Thursday, life, photos, his dog, and more importantly, love. Gross.

Justin is in the band called Sharkswimmer. Rips on the guitar.

As a mixed media artist, Justin is an illustrator for WNYC’s Radiolab episodes, designs for the coffee roasters Toby estate, variety, shot photos behind the scenes of my fav band Slowdive at Be Electric studios, and ran round town shooting photos as a day in the life series for Delicate Stee who I used to see all the time in Philly.

What do you shoot with?

So you do weddings now?

I used to be a concert photographer in Philly so you know I know the vibes. I used to shoot concert photography for Tame Impala, Underoath, Toro y Moi, not trying to measure dicks with ya but that’s always been my jam. Also shooting polaroids was my thing. Remember the MySpace days?

Your illuratating game 1 hundred. Cartoons galore. Would you ever do a cartoon show?

You illustrate for a bunch of coffee roasters, were you ever a barista?
