Ulises
What is Ulises?
Last time I was there was for the Slow Graffiti book launch. With readings by Alissa Bennett and Sam McKinniss. Around the time when Sam painted his portrait of the pop star Lorde was featured as the cover art for her sophomore album, “Melodrama.”
What do you guys got up your sleeves?
ICA
I miss the ICA that was the first time I ever met Kara Walker. She wore one of the DAHSAR pieces from the beginning. My homie Matthew Law was spinning at that event for Ruffneck Constructivists featuring Kara Walker, Arthur Jafa, Kahlil Joseph, and many more.
The homies Alex Da Corte and Jayson Musson’s Easternsports was one of my favorite exhibitions featuring a score with composer Dev Hynes aka Blood Orange.
All of this was back in 2014. Heavy hitters.
If you were to get a chest tattoo quote in olde english what would it be?
